OOTY (India) has been one of the most attractive HILL STATIONS in India. It is one of the most popular and beautiful HILL STATIONS situated in Nilgiri hills in Tamil Nadu. Located on the Nilgiri hills and surrounded by blue mist, Ooty is the most ranked on the top most honeymoon spots list in India. The hill station offers a very romantic and memorable honeymoon for new couple. There are lots of attractive spots in and around the hill station. Places you must visit include the Botanical Garden, Rose Garden, Ooty Lake, Dodabetta peak, Suicide point, Sunrise point. OOTY town is also worth visit, though it is small but looks very beautiful. Besides, you will find plethora of beautiful flowers on the hilly slopes, splendid tea and cardamom plantation and clouds touching your hand and head which makes the OOTY HILL STATION, a unforgettable romantic place to go for honeymoon. OOTY (India) is well connected by rail and road. If one wants to travel by air, the nearest airport is Coimbatore international Airport. The nearest railway station is Coimbatore. The way to OOTY is very simple. Get down at Coimbatore railway station and take a taxi from there. OOTY is around 80kms. from Coimbatore railway station. You can also find many bus services (Luxury as well as local) to and fro from OOTY. Once you reach in OOTY, you can find many economical and star hotels to stay. But if it is the tourist season it is better to book the hotel before landing there.

In OOTY, the weather generally feel pleasantly mild conditions throughout the year. The hill station is beautiful all the season covered with tea gardens, flora and fauna. You will feel like you are living in heaven. My personal experience is during September and October, the hill station looks more beautiful. December is the rainy season there. Hence, during September and October, one can feel the clouds at their hand and body. The hill is full of flora and fauna during that time with many vegetables. The highest pick -Dodabetta peak, suicidal point, OOTY Lake, OOTY Garden are some of the most beautiful place to visit there.

You can take local taxi services in share or individual to move around the hill station. Usually, hotels arrange those services for you. You can also hire bikes to move around the hill station (You must have license for that with you). Must Enjoy the local food, local fruits and vegetable. You can purchase green tea and Eucalyptus oil which is originally available and very healthy.

One of the attraction in OOTY is its Ooty Mountain Train rail service (The Heritage Toy train) from OOTY to Mettupalayam. Do not forget to enjoy a ride of the Mountain toy train. Although, you will feel to stay there for ever, but 3-4 days is good enough to stay and move around the hill station.

KODAIKANAL is another beautiful HILL STATION near to OOTY HILL STATION. Due to proximity to another beautiful HILL STATION OOTY both the places attract many visitors globally. KODAIKANAL is heaven on the earth and is rightly calledPrincess of HILL STATIONS. KODAIKANAL HILL STATION is located in Palani Hills in Western Ghats in Tamilnadu.

One can cover both OOTY and KODAIKANAL at one visit. Come down to Coimbatore and take another taxi / bus service toKODAIKANAL. One can also come down to Mettupalayam and catch bus to KODAIKANAL. If one want to take taxi from Ooty itself, the taxi service is available from OOTY HILL STATION to KODAIKANAL HILL STATION. It is around six hour journey from OOTY to KODAIKANAL by bus. One can save one hour in the journey if starts directly from OOTY to KODAIKANAL by taxi.

From Madurai, the KODAIKANAL HILL STATION is about 120 kms and from OOTY it is 65 kms. KODAIKANAL is one of the most beautiful honeymoon destination in India as well. The dense forest with many varieties of trees, the huge rocks in the wilderness and the enchanting waterfalls are most sought after natural beauties in KODAIKANAL. KODAIKANAL lake and water falls are other attractive places in KODAIKANAL HILL STATION. Sometime one can came across wild animals. Two to three days are good enough to stay there to enjoy the nature.
